Special award for ABBA
ABBA receives a special award to mark the group´s 375 million worldwide record sales.
Abba´s Anni-Frid (Frida) Lyngstad and Björn Ulvaeus receive a special award from Universal Music Group International chairman/CEO Lucian Grainge, to mark the group´s 375 million worldwide record sales to date.
He made the presentation on Jan. 27 at London´s Earl´s Court venue during the world premiere of AbbaWorld, the interactive exhibition featuring 25 rooms of music, footage, images and never-before-displayed memorabilia from the personal collection of Abba. The event, produced by Touring Exhibitions and promoted by Live Nation, has the support and approval of the band. It is expected to travel to other cities internationally in 2010.
